Just how big is the mp3 cases and accessory market?  I may surprise you that it is well into the billions of dollars per year!  How can such a small item as an ipod case rack up such huge sales?  Well think of how many millions of ipods and mp3 players that  are sold.  Now consider the fact that some estimates are that for every dollar spent on an ipod, around 30 cents was spent on an ipod case or other ipod accessory.  That figure sounds high to me but let's take an example of an ipod that you spent $250 on.  You now want a nice mid range case, let's say $10.  You want a little better quality headset, maybe noise canceling or something that holds on your ear a little tighter.  There is a wide price range, we will use $25.  How about a docking station.  Again we will be conservative and say $49.  Our total: $84.  So how did we spend 30 cents for every dollar spent on the ipod?  Yes we did and then some.  Now this is not a bad thing at all.  The fact that this market exists and is so robust will continue to provide us with the ultimate in mp3 accessories..
